Harbour Enterprise Group

At present Harbour Enterprise Group of Companies with its Head-office located in Riga is formed by the following members:

  • Latvia - Harbour Enterprise SIA (founded in 1999)

  • Branch-offices are located in Riga, Ventspils and Liepaja

  • Estonia - Harbour Enterprise OU (founded in 2007)Subsidiary company located in Tallinn

  • Lithuania - Harbour Enterprise UAB (founded in 2007)Subsidiary company located in Klaipeda

 Harbour Enterprise Group

Main lines of activity:

  • Examination, sale and repair of fire-fighting and life-saving equipment;

  • Examination, sale and repair of lifeboats and rescue boats, davits and cranes;

  • Examination, sale and repair of measuring equipment (Portable gas detectors, UTI Meters, Alcohol meters);

  • Ship-supply of any goods or products which are necessary for vessel safe operation;

  • Minor ship-repair arrangement.

  • Licensed bonded warehouses in Riga, Liepaja and Klaipeda;

  • Certificates of Regional Maritime Administrations and International Classification Societies;

  • Quality Management System Certificate ISO 9001:2008 provided by Bureau Veritas;

  • Authorization certificates of major fire-fighting and life-saving equipment Manufacturers.

Staff qualifications:

  • Staff training is conducted at factories of major fire-fighting and life-saving equipment Manufacturers;

  • More than 10 years of operational experience.

Quality of supplied goods and rendered services:

  • All goods meet International Standards' requirements;

  • Services meet requirements of SOLAS Convention, International Classification Societies and National Standards.

Working hours:

  • 24 hours a day;

  • 7 days a week;

History

Company Harbour Enterprise SIA (ex. Ostu Pakalpojumi SIA) was founded in September, 1999 with a purpose of rendering certification and repair services for ships fire-fighting and life-saving equipment in accordance with requirements of SOLAS Convention and IMO Resolutions.

2001 – the merger of companies Оstu Pakalpojumi SIA and Branga Serviss SIA took place which resulted in diversification of scopes of activity: the company started arranging ship supplies of stores, spare parts, provision and new life-saving equipment.

2002 – constitutors and management of the company were changed. The Quality Management System was implemented ISO 9001:2000.

2003 - 2004 – complete re-equipment of production facilities was arranged, new up-to-date machinery was purchased. Special attention was drawn to employees' professional skills development.

2005 – licensed bonded warehouse was set up in Riga.

2007 – the subsidiary Harbour Enterprise OÜ was founded in Tallinn, Estonia. Main line of activity - examination of ships' fire-fighting and life-saving equipment. The Quality Management System ISO 9001:2000 was implemented and certificates of Estonian Maritime Administration and International Classification Societies were acquired. 

– the subsidiary Harbour Enterprise UAB was founded in Klaipeda, Lithuania. Main lines of activity - ship-supply of provision, bond, stores, spare parts; promotion of fire-fighting and life-saving equipment examination services for Lithuanian market.

– the branch-office Harbour Enterprise SIA was founded in Liepaja. Main lines of activity - ship-supply of provision, bond, stores, spare parts; examination of fire-fighting and life-saving equipment. The approvals of Maritime Administration of Latvia and International Classification Societies were acquired.

2008 – the branch-office Harbour Enterprise SIA was founded in Ventspils. Main lines of activity - ship-supply of provision, bond, stores, spare parts; promotion of fire-fighting and life-saving equipment examination services in Ventspils port. 

2009 – The Quality Management System ISO 9001:2008 was implemented in Harbour Enterprise Group of Companies .

2010 – licensed bonded warehouses were set up in Klaipeda and Liepaja.

2011 – gas detection system approval from Deckma GmbH

2012 – measuring equipment service available.

At present about 40 people are successfully working in Harbour Enterprise Group of Companies .

2014 - The production of IMO symbols and safety signs was organized.

2018 - the group of companies was re-certified in accordance with the ISO 9001: 2015 Quality System.

The Harbor Enterprise group currently employs around 40 people.
